Tool Bar Buttons: Main Application

Placing the cursor on top of a tool bar button—without clicking—will display a tool bar tip describing the functionality behind each button. Selecting a tool bar button will implement the functionality described—typically advancing to one of the application screens.

The tool bar buttons defined below will be visible on all screens within the main application. (Additional document navigation buttons will be displayed on the Document Display screen.)

Product Function Tree
	The Product Function Tree screen allows you to navigate through a hierarchical presentation of functional product areas and topic categories designed to guide you to the Linear Technology product you seek.
Table of Contents Browse
	The Table of Contents screen allows you to navigate through a hierarchical presentation of categorized articles from the LT Magazine, as well as the current editions of the Databook and Applications Handbook.
Search by Parameter
	The Search by Parameter allows searching for Linear Technology products by parameter characteristics.
Search by Keyword
	The Search by Keyword screen allows searching through the text in Linear Technology documents.
Search by Part Number
	The Search by Part Number screen allows searching for specific Linear Technology part numbers.
New Products
	The New Products button executes a predefined search that will display the datasheet titles of Linear Technology's newest products.
Worldwide Sales Offices
	The Worldwide Sales Offices button will display a document describing the locations of Linear Technology's sales offices worldwide.
Print
	The Print button will display a typical Windows print dialog. Printing can be executed from the Results List and Document Display screens.
	The Launch SwitcherCAD button will cause the application to shell to DOS and launch Linear Technology's SwitcherCAD application. NOTE: As this software was written pre-Windows, you will receive a warning message, "Might not have enough RAM memory to run SW safely. Program abort? Y/N" You might avoid this message if you exit LinearView and Windows and launch SwitcherCAD from a pure DOS state.
	The Launch FilterCAD button will cause the application to shell to DOS and launch Linear Technology's FilterCAD application.
	The Launch Spice button will cause the application to shell to DOS and launch Linear Technology's Spice application.
	The Launch Noise button will cause the application to shell to DOS and launch Linear Technology's Spice application. Installing SwitcherCAD, FilterCAD. Spice or Noise If the selected application was not yet installed on your computer during the LinearView installation, it is available on the Linear Technology CD-ROM. Exit the Linear Technology CD-ROM application and launch the SETUP.EXE associated with the selected application.
Help
	The Help button will launch this help tool and display the main Contents screen.
Exit
	Selecting the Exit button will cause the application to quit.
